Are cell phone jammers legal in schools?

More and more students are concentrating on their mobile phones instead of teachers. This is not an individual phenomenon but a universal phenomenon. Because the negative impact of cell phones on teaching is too great, I would like to know whether schools in the United States can legally interfere with mobile phone signals.
